Motionographer® Kayak – The Art of the Melt

For this collaboration with Perfect Accident, Uber Eck developed a hybrid pipeline to capture the organic transition of premium ice cream from solid craft to fluid indulgence.

Moving beyond purely generative or digital starts, Uber Eck hand-sculpted the original models in clay to establish a tactile, human foundation. These sculptures were digitized via high-resolution 3D scanning and refined in ZBrush before being brought to life in Houdini. Through iterative FLIP fluid simulations and custom shader development, they achieved a level of art-directed melting that honors the brand’s craftsmanship while maintaining the precision required for high-end commercial production.
