Chrysalis is a surreal short film exploring ritual and metamorphosis through a mix of live action and animation. Shot in the landscapes of France and featuring digitally animated figures, the film moves between real spaces and constructed worlds, blurring the line between the two. It unfolds as an atmospheric journey where ceremonial acts shape the cycles of renewal.
The visuals were created by one person over the course of 3 years without AI which is detailed in a documentary about the whole process.
