NotReal The One Club for Creativity — Emotion Meets Design
In 2024, The One Club for Creativity—renowned globally for championing creative excellence through initiatives like The One Show, Art Directors Club Annual Awards, Type Directors Club, and The Young Ones—commissioned us to revitalize the motion system behind their prestigious awards.
The mission: to unify the visual language across all programs while preserving the distinct character of each, and to craft a flexible toolkit adaptable to both live galas and digital platforms.
We developed a comprehensive visual and motion system encompassing animated and static assets, including interstitials, credits, still renders, logo endtags, and backplates. More than a matter of consistency, our goal was to strike an emotional chord—designing a language that felt elevated, cinematic, and deeply human.
The system was built to resonate and generate an emotional connection.
Through intentional composition, nuanced lighting, and a carefully balanced color palette, we shaped a world of visual sophistication where imagination and clarity coexist. Every animation blurs the line between reality and abstraction, enhancing the connection between winners, audiences, and the broader creative community.
Cohesive yet versatile, the system adapts effortlessly across formats, supported by modular grids that enable expressive variation without sacrificing structure.
Color plays a central role—emerging from reflective light effects and agnostic spaces to create dynamic gradients. Organized into light and dark modes, this duality supports a range of atmospheres, from vibrant and energetic to mysterious and contemplative.
At the heart of the experience are the trophies themselves—presented as luminous, elevated objects of allure. More than awards, they become symbols of excellence, creativity, and cultural impact, transforming each moment of recognition into a lasting celebration.
