The moment has arrived! We are thrilled to unveil The Motion Awards 2024 Winners, honoring the extraordinary talent and innovation shaping the future of Motion Design.
“The art that I like to look at and hang on my studio walls is the album art by a US easy listening label from the 60s and 70’s called Command. The Bauhaus artist Josef Albers, after fleeing Germany, did some of these early designs, and the standard he set seemed to follow through to all of the subsequent designers as they all wonderful, to my eyes at least.”
“We tried a lot of methods, like embroidering the entire scene, not using outlines, using embroidered outlines, many canvas and thread types and sizes, and much more. We also experimented with various digitizing techniques, such as using a photo box and various lighting settings, as well as stuff like normal maps and so on.”
It is with great excitement that we present the world premiere of ‘Infinite Dreams’, a stunning short film crafted by Amsterdam-based studio AIdeal™. This marks another milestone for the studio, whose previous work, ‘Prince of Nigeria’, earned accolades at Cannes as part of the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors’ Showcase.
Ah, the end of the year—a whirlwind of festive chaos and creativity we know all too well. Deadlines loom, holiday shopping lists grow longer, and tables groan under the weight of feasts begging for “just one more bite.” Yet, amid the hustle and bustle, we’re pausing to shine a bright light on something truly extraordinary: The Motion Awards 2024 Nominees!
In an era where each day can feel like a dark cloud, where many of us wrestle with despair, numbness, nausea, and dismay—feeling as though doom has befallen the world—we at F5 want to pause and offer a moment of solace and reflection.
“Everything was handmade, from the character drawings to the assembly of hand-cut paper pieces. The goal was clear: to use the same techniques that filmmakers employed in the 1920s and 1930s to create the film’s authentic atmosphere.”
“Yet, whether that truly qualifies as “feeling” is another matter. Feelings, as I see them, are more than responses—they’re deeply entwined with experience, memory, and context, elements that a machine would struggle to truly comprehend without having a human’s lived experiences.”
Today, we are thrilled to launch our new F5 EMPATH campaign, Are You an Empath? This campaign invites you to explore the profound world of empathy through the lens of authentic human expression. We set out to capture the beauty of everyday people, inviting individuals who had never modeled before to express a wide spectrum of emotions in a completely anonymous way.
